London Sinfonietta invites you to participate in their brand new Composition Challenges to create new music inspired by the works and musical ideas of living composers. This is suitable for KS2 and KS3 (all abilities and levels of experience) and is free to access online.
Each challenge explores the work and approach of a different contemporary composer, supporting curriculum learning and helping young people engage with creative composition. Composition Challenges are designed to be easy to use, flexible and open to all, from complete beginners to those with more experience.
A short film, supported by a teacher pack will guide you through each challenge with a variety of activities to get your class composing. We then invite schools to submit their compositions for us to share and perform.
